how powerful teas can be for your body 🌿

By

warm tea just makes the day so much better.

it’s kinda funny though, i actually used to hate tea.
putting herbs in hot water and drinking it? it genuinely disgusted me.

but when i started dealing with my health issues, my mom kept saying, “herbs are healing.”
so i drank tea every day.

at first it was terrible. i had to add so much honey just to tolerate it 😀

but over time, i started researching how different herbs actually work — and whether they really do.
i began combining them, experimenting… and suddenly they tasted better. even without honey.

and the most magical thing?

there really is a herb for almost everything.

bloating.
cramps.
stress.
low energy.
breakouts.
immune support.

don’t expect them to cure everything on their own though — your body is more complex than that.

but teas are powerful support.

here are some of my favorites:

🌼 chamomile

this one feels like a hug.

you probably know it as the “sleep tea.”
but it’s also amazing for calming your nervous system.

stress affects hormones.
hormones affect everything.

chamomile is like telling your body, “you’re safe.”

fun fact: in summer i use a strong brew to slightly brighten my hair 🙂

🌿 nettle

nettle is so underrated. nobody talks about it.

it’s rich in minerals like iron and magnesium — which many girls naturally need more of, especially during their period.

it supports energy levels and helps when you feel drained.

it feels like nourishment in liquid form.

. ܁₊ ⊹ . ܁ ⟡ ܁ . ⊹ ₊ ܁.˚₊‧꒰ა ᰔ ໒꒱ ‧₊˚. ܁₊ ⊹ . ܁ ⟡ ܁ . ⊹ ₊ ܁.

🍃 raspberry leaf

often called “the womb tea.”

it gently supports the uterus and can help with cramps and cycle comfort over time.

my tip: i usually start drinking it about a week before my period. it makes everything feel so much softer.

. ܁₊ ⊹ . ܁ ⟡ ܁ . ⊹ ₊ ܁.˚₊‧꒰ა ᰔ ໒꒱ ‧₊˚. ܁₊ ⊹ . ܁ ⟡ ܁ . ⊹ ₊ ܁.

🫚 ginger, turmeric & black pepper

yes — black pepper.

turmeric absorbs better when paired with black pepper, so that little pinch actually matters.

both ginger and turmeric are anti-inflammatory and amazing for cramps, bloating, or when you feel like you’re getting sick.

your gut and your hormones are connected more than people realize.

. ܁₊ ⊹ . ܁ ⟡ ܁ . ⊹ ₊ ܁.˚₊‧꒰ა ᰔ ໒꒱ ‧₊˚. ܁₊ ⊹ . ܁ ⟡ ܁ . ⊹ ₊ ܁.

🌼 dandelion

dandelion supports the liver — which plays a role in processing hormones.

it can help when you feel puffy or heavy before your period.

it’s gentle detox energy — not extreme cleanse culture.

. ܁₊ ⊹ . ܁ ⟡ ܁ . ⊹ ₊ ܁.˚₊‧꒰ა ᰔ ໒꒱ ‧₊˚. ܁₊ ⊹ . ܁ ⟡ ܁ . ⊹ ₊ ܁.

🌾 agrimony

one of my favorites.

agrimony is traditionally used for emotional tension — especially for the girls who say “i’m fine” when they’re not.

it’s like a tea for the strong ones who carry everything quietly.

. ܁₊ ⊹ . ܁ ⟡ ܁ . ⊹ ₊ ܁.˚₊‧꒰ა ᰔ ໒꒱ ‧₊˚. ܁₊ ⊹ . ܁ ⟡ ܁ . ⊹ ₊ ܁.

but here’s the important part:

tea is not a cure.

it’s support.

it won’t replace medical care.
it won’t magically fix everything overnight.

and remember:
1. you should drink these atleast once a day
2. try not to oversteep them
3. shouldn’t drink them for more than 3 weeks !!! (especially nettle, since it’s high in iron)

but small rituals matter.

i always make sure i have one small ritual in my day, no matter what happens.

it keeps me grounded.
it keeps me connected to myself.

your body is always communicating.

maybe tea is just one way of finally listening 🍵🌷

love,
hana
