what does healing mean to you?

When you hear the word healing what is the first thing that comes to your mind?

is it a wound on your hand closing? is it finally accepting that you can’t fix the past? or maybe it’s waking up one morning and realizing you don’t feel constantly tired anymore.

for me, it was all three — and so much more.
i used to imagine healing as this perfect version of myself, clear skin, confident, happy every day. no bad days. waking up refreshed, never drained, always positive and strong.

but soon i realized, that will never be true.
no matter what you do,
no matter where you move, or what you eat, there will always be bad days.

because that’s what life is. nobody is perfect. and trust me, everybody, EVERYBODY, is struggling.

but what if healing isn’t about chasing the perfect version of ourselves?
maybe it’s about learning to breathe again after we fall apart.
to show up, even when we feel messy and tired.
to keep trying, to choose slowness even if you’re in a hurry, respecting your body.

healing is slow. it’s quiet. it’s the little things we often overlook, watching the sun setting on your bed, going on a walk or maybe just laying down and watching your favorite series.

slow down, you’re doing better than you think.
everything’s going to be okay.
remember how far you’ve already come ♡
